In the peacock jungle two scientists were overheard infighting over a butterflies wings…
Scientist 1- The eyes on the butterflies wings are not functional, ofcourse, they are there to deter predators through facialization.
Scientist 2- No no no, the eyespots do not really mimic eyes at all. Instead they simply represent a mesh of colours and patterns which predators do not like, for whatever reason.
